Javier Gutierrez Guerra

Hi there. My name is Javier, the creator of JTechClass. I’m a self-called network engineer (as I do not have an actual Engineering Title from University). I have a passion for networking, open-source, and coding.
Last 5 years of my life:
- Completed a 2 years College Degree in Network Administration
- Obtained my CCNA R&S certificate
- Participated in 2 events of the Manitoba Skills Canada, first-year obtained silver, second-year Gold medal on Network Administration competence
- Participated in Skills Canada, and obtained the Silver medal at the national level in Network Administration
- Worked for 3 years at a regional ISP where I learned about DOCSIS, MPLS, true BGP, and many other technologies
- Moved into another bigger regional ISP as a Network Analyst
- Moved into a Sr Field Service Engineer with Harmonic INC
Why are you writing a blog?
I started JTechClass back in 2013 I believe, and over the years I have not been the most constant at it. But I’m a believer in Open Source and in sharing your knowledge with others. For that reason, I started this blog.
What do you do in your free time?
Well, whenever I have free time, I like to go fishing, play soccer or baseball or learn something new.
Where can we find you?
