Apple, a company that for many years had dominated the market of smartphones and that its popularity extends to the countries where mostly a cellphone is still part of the future.
Over the last couple of weeks many people have been arguing about the truth behind apple updates, do they really slow down your old IPhone so you will have to go and upgrade your device?
Well it seems like this is a truth that has been hidden from the users for a long time. If you fallow channels on Youtube like UnboxTherapy, EverythingApplePro and so many other tech channels, you probably already know what I’m talking about today.
Apple has officially declared that they do in fact SLOW DOWN YOUR IPHONE AFTER UPGRADES!
Yes, I know, for some people is hard to believe, you may know someone that will tell you Apple would never do something like that, that’s insane.
Well my friend, you could not be more wrong, by apple words they do degrade the performance of your old iPhone when a new upgrade is released so your battery can still work the way it should, this means that you phone won’t be dead at 20% of charge left.
Now, there is a solution coming, that’s clear, apple had lunch yesterday a public apology to their customer and have addressed some of our concerns, as per apple official page
First and foremost, we have never — and would never — do anything to intentionally shorten the life of any Apple product, or degrade the user experience to drive customer upgrades. Our goal has always been to create products that our customers love, and making iPhones last as long as possible is an important part of that.
- Apple dropped the price of a battery replacement from $79 USD to $29 USD
- Early on 2018 a new update will allow us to see the health status of our devices
- And that’s it, nothing else
